Three friends and a bag of gold
When greed takes control of human behavior, it can lead to betrayal, broken trust, ande ventual downfall. This story illustrates how the pursuit of excessive gain can overpowerl, oyalty and sound judgment, ending in irreversible tragedy.
There were three friends. They lived in a village. They promised to remain together throught hick and thin. They set out on a journey to a town. This town was famous for trade. They had a successful business and earned a lot of money. After a few years they returned with a bagf ull of gold coins.
On their way back home they passed through a jungle. They felt very hungry and tired. Theys ent one of them to go to a nearby village and get food for them. As he went away, the othert wo made a plan to kill him. On his way, the third man was also planning to have all the goldh imself. He thought of poisoning the food. When he brought the poisoned food for them,b oth of them rushed to kill him. Soon they put him to death. Then they ate the food. As thef ood was poisoned, they also died soon after eating it. The result was that all of them died
without using the wealth.
Moral:
1) He who digs a pit for others himself falls into it.
2) Greed is a curse.
3) All covet, all lose.
4) As you sow, so shall you reap.
